Quality Management System Policy in KMA establish achievement of quality in all work aspects (calibrations, verifications) and accurate reporting of measurement results to the client, using always accurate equipment and measuring etalons, in compliance with the KS EN ISO/IEC 17025:2017.
Quality objectives in KMA in compliance with SK EN ISO/IEC 17025 :2017 are:
- Ensure calibration service quality and continuously improve the effectiveness of Quality Management System of KMA.
- Provide continuous qualitative services for customer satisfaction, in compliance with their requirements.
- Ensure that all KMA staff is competent and qualified for duties it performs and familiarized with the documentation of quality management in order to perform professional and effective services for KMA customers.
- Membership of KMA in international and regional metrology organizations and preparing the framework for the recognition of state measuring etalons at international level, which is a key element to ensure the international recognition for metrology in Kosovo.
This has a special importance to ensure the international recognition for metrology in Kosovo in order to directly contribute to the competitiveness of Kosovo economy in the regional and global market and quality of life of citizens.
Applying the quality management system is one of the main duties of KMA management with regards to:
- Quality policy known to all KMA employees;
- Ensure sustainability in applying quality policy in all fields of works in KMA.
- Quality management system is in compliance with requirements deriving from SK EN ISO/IEC 17025:2017.
A crucial factor for successful implementation of requirements deriving from SK EN ISO/IEC 17025:2017 is the active participation of all members of KMA staff in fulfilling certain responsibilities and duties.
A reliable calibration ensures the confirmation of the full integrity of equipment and their functioning within limits (tolerances) and specifications, which allows their use with greater reliability.
Referring etalons and calibration equipments used in KMA laboratories are always calibrated and all published results are accurately stated that can be supported with documented data on their traceability.
Quality Manual (QM) describes the structure of Kosovo Metrology Agency (KMA) and organization process for ensuring quality policy in services it performs. Compliance with this manual guarantees that organizational and technical activities have been planned, supervised and controlled based on requirements deriving from SK EN ISO/IEC 17025.
