Volume and Flow Laboratory

    Volume and flow Laboratory at the KMA provides measurements traceability in the field of volume and flow, maintains and preserves primary units for volume and flow, also provides calibration services for volume and flow measuring instruments based on volumetric and gravimetric method, and:

• Gravimetric calibration of micropipette with range:1 µL up to 2000 µL;
• Gravimetric calibration of micropipette with range:1 mL up to 2000 mL;
• Calibration of laboratory dishes (balloons, pipettes, cylinders, pycnometers and syringes) with range 1 mL up to 1000 mL;
• Calibration of volume testing etalons with range 1 L up to 20L,
• Calibration of volume testing etalons and testing reservoirs with range from 1L to 2000 L ;
• Calibration of flow measuring instruments;

This Laboratory also provides services for verification of legal measuring instruments, as:  

• Verification of measuring instruments in fuel sales points and fuel tanks, water-meters and LPG gas meters.
• Volume and flow laboratory has participated at the inter laboratory comparison under the EURAMET project and European and regional inter laboratory comparisons.
