Laboratory temperature and relative humidity

Based on a solid legal framework and in accordance with the EU regulations framework, as well as based on EU Consumer Protection Strategy, “Empowering Consumers welfare, effective protection of their KMA as state mechanism in field of thermometry and relative humidity has an obligation and provides modern supervision to instruments of this field in order to protect from risks and threats that may arise as a result of no calibration of measuring instruments in certain areas of activity.

The government program gives a high priority to consumer protection and safety as an explicit objective in its right. And through the control and calibration of instruments provides services to customers and their safety, by ensuring that their interests are protected in terms of quality, safety and accuracy.  

Therefore, KMA in the framework of the calibration of thermic and relative humidity posses the laboratory that provides services in this field, by providing the measuring accuracy and credibility statements of SMC level, verified through the international inter- laboratory comparison.

Main objectives of thermometer laboratory are:  

To provide calibration services based on ITS90 standards, for thermometer and relative humidity instruments connected to life activities, across the country and abroad to those who have interest for such services.

To harmonize legal frame and practice of our country with EU legislation in field of thermometry and relative humidity calibration, as accuracy and credibility of measurement units and consumer protection from internal activities connected with incurrent measuring.   

To ensure the reliability measuring and market surveillance applicable practical;  

Within the whole country to establish an operational and efficient measuring system, credible supervision and accurate measurement.
